Multipliers

Captain and vice-captain.

RoleMultiplier
Captain2x · all points doubled
Vice-captain1.5x · all points multiplied by 1.5

If the captain is dismissed first ball (4 fantasy points), the captain multiplier applies: 4 × 2 = 8 fantasy points. If the vice-captain is the top scorer with 80 runs (80 + 4 + 6 = 90 base points), the vice-captain multiplier applies: 90 × 1.5 = 135 fantasy points.

Worked example

How the points stack up for one player.

Take a player who scores 80 runs off 52 balls with 8 fours and 3 sixes, catches 1, and is captain. Base points: 80 runs (80) + 8 boundaries (32) + 3 sixes (18) + half-century (8) + strike rate 154 (4) + catch (8) = 150 base points. Captain multiplier: 150 × 2 = 300 fantasy points.

Compare with a player who scores 30 runs off 18 balls with 4 fours and 1 six, no catches, no captain: 30 (30) + 4 boundaries (16) + 1 six (6) + strike rate 167 (6) = 58 base points × 1 = 58 fantasy points. The captain multiplier is the single biggest lever in any contest entry.

FAQ

Points system questions readers ask.

Are the points the same across contests?

Yes — the table applies to every contest on the platform, including practice contests.

What happens if my captain doesn't play?

The vice-captain becomes captain; the original captain's points are scored at 1x.

Are Test match points the same?

Different — Test matches use a longer-format scoring table with first-innings and second-innings bonuses.
