Download only from the official link.

The LeagueX app is published under the official LeagueX publisher name. Third-party APK mirrors are not associated with the desk and may bundle modified code. Use the official download page or the APK page for the verified package.

If you have already installed a third-party build, uninstall it before installing the official one.

FAQ

Common app questions.

Why does the app ask for camera access?

KYC verification requires a PAN card photograph and a live selfie. The camera is not used at any other point.

Does the app drain the battery?

No. The app uses push notifications rather than polling; battery draw is comparable to a chat app.

Can I install on two devices?

Yes — up to three signed-in devices. Manage them under Account → Security.

What happens if I uninstall?

Your account stays active. Re-install and sign in with the same credentials to restore your contest ledger.

Extended reading

Notes from the editorial desk.

Reading the app's permissions list

Open Settings → Apps → LeagueX on your device. The permission list is short and intentional — camera, notifications and biometric only. Anything beyond those three is a red flag for a modified build. The permission list also reveals what the app never accesses: contacts, location, microphone, storage outside its sandbox. A fantasy cricket app does not need any of these; the desk recommends uninstalling any build that requests them.

App size and update cadence

The iOS build is approximately 52 MB; the Android build is approximately 38 MB. Builds noticeably larger than this are likely modified. The app updates bi-weekly. Update notes are published in the news wire and pinned to the homepage trust strip during the rollout window. The desk recommends updating within 7 days of any release to stay current with the captain pick desk's data layer.

Languages and accessibility

The app ships in English (India) and Hindi. Switchable under Settings → Language. The app supports dynamic type, screen readers, dark mode and high-contrast mode. The desk's editorial standard treats accessibility as a first-class feature, not a checkbox. If you find a screen that does not work with VoiceOver or TalkBack, file a ticket and the desk will route it to engineering.

Data retention on the app

Contest history and ledger data are retained for the lifetime of the account plus 30 days. After account deletion, the desk retains anonymised aggregate statistics and 7 years of transaction records per RBI rules. The retention window is documented in the privacy policy and inside the app under Account → Privacy → Data.

Where the app gets its data

Fixture data is sourced from the official BCCI, ICC and franchise feeds, cross-referenced with two independent providers before publication. Player statistics are sourced from the official scorers' associations. The captain pick desk uses form, venue and role-fit as three signals — see the captain picks page for the full formula. The desk does not use scraped data from unofficial sources.

Common app issues and fixes

If the app is slow, force-quit and re-open. If sign-in fails, use the forgot-password flow with the registered mobile number. If a contest entry is locked, check the deadline — most contests close 5 minutes before the first ball. If the ledger does not refresh, pull-to-refresh on the home screen. For anything else, file a ticket via Help → Submit a ticket.

How the desk tests new builds

Each release passes a 5-stage internal test before publication: smoke test on 6 device profiles, KYC happy-path test, deposit / withdrawal happy-path test, contest-entry happy-path test, and offline-mode test. The desk publishes a release note with each build. If a release breaks a happy-path test, it is rolled back before publication.
